Since its founding in 2002, the PMJ Foundation has been committed to strengthening communities by providing educational resources, family support, and outreach programs that create lasting opportunities for children and families. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, we have positively impacted more than 100,000 men, women, and children through our community initiatives.

Our programs are designed to meet immediate needs while helping families build a stronger future. Through educational support, community partnerships, and annual giving campaigns, we work to remove barriers that prevent children and families from reaching their full potential.

Giving Back Campaigns

Throughout the year, the PMJ Foundation coordinates community donation drives that provide essential resources to youth, families, homeless shelters, and transitional housing programs. These campaigns bring together individuals, businesses, schools, churches, and community organizations to support those facing financial hardship.

Our two signature annual campaigns include:

  • Back-to-School Drive (July–August): Collecting backpacks, school supplies, and classroom essentials to help students begin the school year prepared and confident.
  • Annual Holiday Drive (November–December): Providing toys, clothing, personal care items, and household necessities to help families celebrate the holiday season with hope and dignity.

With the support of our community partners, these programs continue to expand their reach and serve families throughout the state.

Supporting Students and Families

Education is one of the most powerful tools for creating opportunity. Unfortunately, many students face challenges outside the classroom that can affect their ability to succeed, including financial hardship, housing instability, community violence, and limited access to educational resources. The PMJ Foundation develops programs that help students overcome these obstacles by providing educational support, mentoring opportunities, career awareness, and essential resources. At the same time, we work alongside families to strengthen support systems that encourage long-term success. Our goal is not only to meet immediate needs but also to empower children and families with the confidence, knowledge, and resources they need to build brighter futures. Together, with the continued support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, we are creating stronger families, healthier communities, and greater opportunities for future generations.

CAP PROJECT

The PMJ Foundation’s Career Awareness Project (CAP) program is a unique after-school program that brings professionals from the outside world to funded Baltimore City and County Schools.  CAP is specifically designed to benefit at-risk youth in schools where much of the population is at or below poverty level and resources are limited.  Since being developed and implemented in 2006, CAP has seen a dramatic increase in academic performance, attendance, and a decrease in school drop-out rates.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE

Held annually, the Back-to-School Drive helps prepare at-risk youth for the upcoming school year.  Community resources are utilized to equip students with vital tools necessary to begin the school year successfully.  Thank you to all who helped our community children be ready for the start of the new school year. Approximately 900 students benefited from our Annual Back-to-School Drive as a result of your generous donations. Please continue to support our invaluable programs.

ANNUAL HOLIDAY DRIVE

The holiday season symbolizes the importance of family and friends. However, for many people in our community, the season is wrought with uncertainty and financial struggles.  With your continuing support and generosity, we are able to make the holiday season a little brighter for families in need. Each year, we plan to serve over 1,000 families.  Clothing, daily necessities and toys are graciously provided as a result of your gifts and financial donations. Check our page for needs, donation drop-off locations and more. Thank you for your support!
