Celebrating Over A Decade Of Service!
Community donations have helped over 26,400 men, women, and children since inception. The campaigns are donation drives, which provide homeless and transitional shelters with the necessities for individuals and families. The Preston Mitchum, Jr. Foundation is committed to encouraging others to help people in need. There are two yearly drives - a Back-to-School Drive from July through August to collect school supplies, and another drive for the Holiday season from November through December. With the help of our partners, both annual drives are supported throughout the state.
ANNUAL HOLIDAY DRIVE
The holiday season is a time of excitement, family, and giving. It can also be a time wrought with uncertainty for families who are struggling to make ends meet. The PMJ Foundation invites you to join us in making this a joyous time for those less fortunate. You can help by donating NEW clothes, food, toys and/or money.
Together, we can provide food, clothing, toys, school supplies and other daily necessities to homeless, transitional and emergency shelters throughout Maryland. We plan to serve 1,000 families in need this holiday season.
The foundation is committed to ensuring that those who are in need receive assistance while encouraging others to give back to our community. We each have a responsibility to give back and it is you who can make a difference.
The deadline for monetary or donated items is December 18, 2014.
Also this year, we will be raffling 50/50 tickets to benefit our annual Holiday Drive. One lucky winner (18 years or older) will also be the beneficiary of half the proceeds from tickets sales. A maximum of 2,000 tickets will be sold at a cost of $5 per ticket with the drawing being held on December 19that Landsdowne Elementary School. Tickets are available now for purchase. The winner will potentially receive $5,000 if all tickets are purchased!
