Celebrating 11 Years of Service!
Background & Vision
After witnessing the crippling effects of poverty, violence, and substance abuse on our children and families every day, veteran ABC2 NEWS video journalist, Preston Mitchum, Jr., founded the PMJ Foundation in 2002. His vision for the foundation is to effect major change in the Baltimore Metropolitan community by enriching the lives of children and adults that desperately need assistance. The foundation also fuels his passion to encourage others to make a difference in our community. The Preston Mitchum Jr. Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization dedicated to providing people the opportunity to donate their time by volunteering for donation drives, youth initiatives, and making financial contributions for organization projects.
The Preston Mitchum, Jr. Foundation is dedicated to addressing the crippling effects of poverty and violence on at-risk youth in our society. We seek to educate, empower and provide a vision of a brighter future for these youth through after-school programming and community-based services.
